It is reaffirming and inspirational. Every night, I say the same things to my sons. My 9 year olds “things” have gotten lengthy, lol, but for both him and my 4 year old, I see and feel their body’s relax and let go of the day while I’m telling them their things. I say:
“I love you to the moon and back. And I want to thank you for being you, just the way you are every day, in every way. I hope you sleep well and I can’t wait to see you in the morning. I’ll give you a big hug and kiss, and tell you again that I love you, I’m so proud of you, Colin, and I’m so grateful to be your mom.”
