I watched this movie: Mortal Engines, and in it, there’s this monster-like creature who, when he is dying, remembers when he was human, and that he had a son, and he remembers holding his son’s hand. The imagery reminded me of holding my daughter’s hand, crossing the street. I could almost feel her hand in mine, the memory was so vivid. And I cried. Your words: “… pudgy little hands wrapped in mine” did it to me again. Thank you.

This is so true and something that I am just learning how to do this year. At age 46. I wish that I had learnt to put my boundaries in place years ago. Thanks for letting me know that I am doing the right thing for myself and my sanity and reminding me also to not let the guilt take over!

Hi Jess – Pre-ordered your book today from Amazon. Yeah! The only thing I couldn’t figure out was how to get the companion workbook (did get the first free 36 pages). Will it be coming out later? I feel you girl! My sweet girl with graduate from high school in about a month and I am not ready. It went too fast and I miss that little girl that wanted to dance for me or watch her jump in the pool.
